Welcome to The Metropolitan StyleWiki. This site was created so that our editing staff can all have a constant, consistent source for local style decisions that have been made in the past, as well as modify and add to it as new problems arise and new decisions are made.
There are two rules:
1) Do not make any changes without consulting the proper authority and having the necessary discussion.
2) Explain the logic behind the choices, changes and additions you make.
Other than that, enjoy. Remember, your job is to be concise, consistent and correct. If you don't know, look it up. This is your responsibility. Not the writer's, not the section editor's, not another copy editor's, yours.
